Unfortunately, you do not have an appropriate savings account product. For the Savings Goals functionality to work, one of the products “SparCard”, “Geldmarktsparen” or “Flexgeld” is necessary. The corresponding product (account) has to be enabled in db OnlineBanking. You can open a “SparCard“ directly in your db OnlineBanking or contact your advisor.

During the creation of your new Savings Goal, you can create a standing order automatically. If you make use of this option, you can automatically adapt the corresponding standing order each time you change the Savings Goal. Entering a TAN for authorization is not required in either case as the transaction concerns two accounts that are in your ownership.

If you choose “Manual entry” during the creation of a Savings Goal, the monthly contribution and the end date are no longer calculated automatically. This way, you can create your Savings Goal as you want it to be. Hereby it is possible to reach the Savings Goal before the end date.

Unfortunately, not every customer has the possibility to use this feature. Precondition is that every authorized agent is allowed to create standing orders. If you want to use this convenient feature, please contact your advisor.

A new Savings Goal will be started and included into the evaluation with the beginning of the next month. A corresponding standing order is started at the beginning of the next month as well. The final rate is triggered by the standing order at the beginning of the target month.

The starting amount can only be defined if there is still available balance on the savings account. This means that the whole savings balance should not already be assigned to Savings Goals. By definition of a starting amount, the monthly savings contribution can be reduced. However, no payment transactions (bank transfers, standing orders) are initialized in the course of this.
As soon as the savings period of the Savings Goal is started, the starting amount cannot be changed any more. Moreover, the starting amount cannot be distributed to other Savings Goals afterwards.

During the creation of your new Savings Goal, you can create a standing order automatically. If you make use of this option, you can adapt the corresponding standing order each time you change the Savings Goal. The Savings Goal’s category can be changed later on without any problems. In order to do this, you just need to click on the icon “Edit Savings Goal“ and afterwards choose the picture that represents the category. In the following, you can click on the icon of the new category. All the other properties of your Savings Goal will remain unchanged.     

The savings amount is not transferred when changing the savings account. You can do this manually with a simple "Transfer to a sub-account" under “Accounts“ in the top navigation menu.

You can transfer additional amounts to the savings account that is assigned to a Savings Goal. However, it is not possible to assign this payment to a specific Savings Goal. By use of the option "All the balance will be used for distribution to the Savings Goals" you can distribute the additional amount to the existing Savings Goals according to the prioritization.

By use of this option, the balance that is not already assigned to the Savings Goals of a savings account, is distributed to the Savings Goals. The distribution is done by savings account and the Savings Goals that are assigned to this account. The available balance is assigned to the top Savings Goal until it is fulfilled. If the available balance does not suffice, it is assigned to the Savings Goal completely. The degree of fulfillment of a Savings Goal increases accordingly. If there is still undistributed balance available afterwards, it is assigned to the next Savings Goal as described above, and so on.

The order affects the priority of Savings Goals that are processed if you choose the option "All the balance will be used for distribution to the Savings Goals". The order can be changed by "drag and drop" of the icon with the 9 squares. The top Savings Goal will be processed first.

You can close your Savings Goal via the link “Close Savings Goal and use money”. As a result, the saved amount will no longer be included in the calculation of the other Savings Goals’ degree of target achievement. As next step, you should transfer the amount to a checking account, in order to fulfill your dream. Please consider the corresponding period of notice and probable fees. The closed Savings Goals will still be shown in the overview as history at the bottom of the page.

In this case, the affected Savings Goal(s) will be recategorized as open again. If you do not need the Savings Goal any longer, you can delete it at any time.

In a second step, after creating the new Savings Goal, a corresponding standing order can be created as well if you have sufficient rights to do so. You can change the Savings Goal and the corresponding standing order afterwards at any time.

You can create a corresponding standing order under "Accounts" in the top navigation menu. Please note that the standing order will not be adapted to changes made to the corresponding Savings Goal automatically in this case. For this reason, it is better to create a corresponding standing order during the course of creating a new Savings Goal and change this Savings Goal afterwards.

In order to change the source account of an existing standing order, you have to delete the standing order under "Accounts" in the top navigation menu and create a new one afterwards. Please note that after this change, the standing order will no longer be adapted to changes made to the corresponding Savings Goal.

Standing orders that were created in the course of adding a new Savings Goal are usual standing orders. You can change or delete them by use of the existing standing order functionality within "Accounts" in the top navigation menu as usual. However, we do not recommend this because the fine adjustment with the Savings Goals can be interfered.

Generally, both of you can use the FinancePlanner with one common account and your own products. Savings Goals create an additional view on the saved amounts for every user of the Personal Finance Manager separately. This means, it can happen that the same amount is used for different Savings Goals. In order to avoid this, we recommend you to use a dedicated savings account for every user. A new savings account can be ordered via “Products” in your db OnlineBanking.
