There are three tabs on the Analysis Page, corresponding to Income, Expenses or Total where you can analyze your income and expenses separately as well as in a comprehensive overview of these within the Total tab (including Cash flow). 

In the tab "Total", you can choose between an overview of income and expenses, a diagram of the cashflow or balance, as well as a list view that can be sorted by date, counterparty, category, product and amount. The income/expenses view can be shown accumulated or not accumulated.

In the tabs "Expenses" and "Income" you can select from donut, bar, planet, bubble, or column chart  in the area "Schema". Additionally, you can display the respective schema data in a tabular format that is sorted by category, amount, number of transactions and a percentage value.

By click on a category, detailed information about this category is shown. The list of transactions below the graphics is adapted accordingly.

Using the selection boxes "Accounts" and "Time range", you can limit the analysis to a specific choice of accounts and a given time interval.

You can choose any custom time range period defined in months. If you choose a time range that contains only partial transaction data, only the available transaction data is shown. You will not be explicitly notified about this fact. Your chosen time range is automatically applied to further analysis and views within the FinancialPlanner.

You can find a detailed list of the transactions that the currently shown graphical illustration is based on at the lower area of the page. By clicking on the button "Transactions details", you can hide or show the list view.           

In order to do this, click on the pencil icon in the column "Category" for the respective transaction. In the dialog window, you can choose a category and then a sub category. The resulting change is subsequently summarized in a dialog box which gives an option to create a rule. Within this, by use of the text field "Counterparty", you can limit the scope to a specific counterparty. In addition, it is also possible to filter by description and you can also combine both text filters by use of the checkboxes.

Finally, you can define whether the categorization of the transaction should be done once or if it should be defined as a general rule for automatic recategorization. For use as permanent rule, the filter has to be chosen in a way that affects multiple transactions. Before the rule is saved, the FinancialPlanner shows you how many transactions would be affected by the new rule. If only one transaction is affected, this is an indication for an inappropriate search term. By clicking on the Back button, you can adapt the rule criteria. It is also possible to edit and administer rules within the "Settings" page.

For each main category you can create sub categories by clicking on "+ Add sub-category" at the end of the category list. The name can be chosen freely. You can access the list of sub categories if you try to recategorize a transaction (see "How can I recategorize transactions?"). For every main category you can define up to ten custom sub categories. 

Yes, just click on the tab "Group by counterparty". There you can see a summary of the amounts and number of transactions for the respective counterparty.           

To do this, please select “Custom range…” as time range. Then a timeline with a step size of one month appears which helps you to select your time range by moving the two sliders.           

In the total view, all incomes and expenses are displayed accumulated. If you uncheck "Income / Expenses accumulated", all incomes and expenses are shown in general comparison by category.           

Printing all transactions does only work if you use the printer symbol in the icon area or by pressing the key code "Cmd-P". The browser's print function will only print a limited amount of transactions.
