Registration for paydirekt happens directly in the online banking application. You can choose your personal user name and password and confirm the registration process with a TAN. In the following, you will receive an activation link by email that you can use to activate you paydirekt access immediately.

By agreement to the terms of use, you acknowledge the terms for using paydirekt. This covers transaction management and buyer protection.

In line with the registration, personal data is saved under the authority of paydirekt GmbH. Before the data is transferred, you are asked to check and release the data by entering a TAN. The data is used to provide services that are described in the data privacy statement.

In order to use paydirekt, you need an active online banking access and a payment marketable account in Euro. Furthermore, you need an active and available security procedure.

With paydirekt, you can use photoTAN, mTAN or iTAN.

Online payments are confirmed by user name and password. In addition, you can also decide to secure your payments by TAN. In rare cases, we let you confirm a payment by TAN for your own safety. Moreover, you need a TAN for confirmation of changes to your data in the paydirekt portal.

Most of your personal data can be changed directly during the registration process. If you want to change your name or date of birth, please contact our hotline or your advisor. Please note that the changed data is only relevant to paydirekt.

The user name is you access to paydirekt. In conjunction with your password, you can pay directly and easily on the internet. It is your access to the paydirekt portal at www.paydirekt.de as well. You can change your user name by use of the function "Change user data" at any time.

Your password for paydirekt requires a length between 8 and 20 characters. Characters of all the following groups must be used:

• Upper case letters A-Z – without umlauts ,

• Lowercase letters a-z – without umlauts or „ß“,
• Digits 0-9,

• Special characters: @ # $ % & - . _ ! ?
  

If you pay with paydirekt, this account is charged. You will also receive credit on this account, if you return ordered items for example.

Yes, paydirekt payments are taken into consideration in terms of your online spending limit. In the paydirekt overview, you can see your limit and the amount that remains for this day. You can also request changes to the limit.

You can be informed on your buyings by email. Just activate this function in your personal settings on www.paydirekt.de.

With the preferred security procedure, you choose the TAN procedure that you want to use for paydirekt. This is valid for orders or changes in the paydirekt portal.       

With this option, you can choose whether you want to confirm every paydirekt payment by TAN. Every payment is confirmed by the preferred security procedure that you chose. You can change this setting at "Change user data" at any time.

A user name is reserved for 30 minutes during the registration process. After this period of time, you can try again or you can directly choose another user name. It might also happen that, after the reservation period, another person chooses this user name.

You can only use checking accounts in Euro for paydirekt, this excludes e.g. savings accounts.

Yes, you can choose your user name freely. It requires a length between 8 and 50 characters at maximum.
