Bank Identifier Code (BIC)
For the purpose of an unambiguous identification of the bank details, please enter the BIC/SWIFT-Code here. The BIC/SWIFT-Code consists of 8 or 11 characters and has a fixed structure as described as followed:
4-character bankcode
2-character country code
2-character coding for location
3-character branch identification (optional, can be replaced by “XXX”)
If you don’t know the BIC/SWIFT-Code of the account number of the recipient, please use the national bank code then. In that case additional fields will be displayed, in which you need to fulfill the address of the receiving bank. This information is necessary to assign the correct receiving bank uniquely.
