In general, instant payment is available in all countries that belong to SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area). It is up to individual banks, however, to offer this option to its customers. Therefore, you can only use instant payments to transfer money to recipients whose banks also offer this type of transfer.
The recipient’s IBAN is verified upon entry. Should the recipient’s bank be unable to process an instant payment transfer, a message box will appear with a link to switch to the conventional SEPA transfer method. Taking into account the acceptance and execution periods for regular SEPA transfers, the amount would then be received at the earliest by the next business day.
