The Deutsche Bank eSafe is available to account holders with Online Banking access. The usage is available to private as well as business customers. Currently, minors and legal persons are excluded. Only the account holder himself can use the eSafe.

Access to the Online Banking and an active TAN method are required for the registration and usage of the Deutsche Bank eSafe.

It is possible to create an eSafe for every customer ID you have.

When registering, you must provide a personal username and password. These are required to login to your eSafe Client.

We use the renown “password strength estimator” zxcvbn to help you choose a strong password. It displays traffic light colours depending on the strength of your passwords. It does so by checking the entered password for commonly used patterns e.g. repetitions (aaa), sequences (abc) or keyboard patterns (qwerty).

The eSafe uses so-called EV SSL certificates. All transported data is encrypted and secured with the highest protection. The eSafe relies not only on the SSL protection, but also encrypts particularly critical data (for example user data and password-safe entries) with a session key. This additional encryption helps specifically preventing man-in-the-middle and replay attacks.

For the eSafe Client: The transmission of your data is encrypted in addition to the encrypted SSL connection using a session-specific code.

With a selection of highly secure and globally recognized encryption methods (RFC-2898), we encrypt all customer data for eSafe. AES-256 and RSA-2048 are used as cryptographic standards. These methods are designed to provide the high level of protection required for many yours to come.

The eSafe can currently only be registered with a German registration address.
