Performance

The performance presentation, which displays all information related to the performance of the portfolio, can be used to show the success of your portfolio. In the standard view, the performance for the period from December 31 of the previous year to the current date is displayed. If the template is accessed in January, the start date is set back one year. If the data available in the database is not sufficient for displaying this time period, then the maximum time period is automatically selected. If you enter another beginning or ending date in the template header, you can access the performance for a different period.

A calendar function assists in changing the time period. Performance is calculated on a time weighted basis using the modified Dietz method. The amount in the line “contributions” corresponds to the total of incoming funds and securities received. The amount in the line “withdrawals” corresponds to the total of outgoing funds and securities delivered. In the line "bonus shares, etc.", price gains (income) arising from bonus shares, stock dividends, etc. are displayed. However, bonus shares are not included in this. In the right-hand part of the template, cumulative performance and performance per time period is displayed in chart form. The time period used in each case (month, quarter, year) is oriented towards the length of the reporting period and is determined automatically. If it is not possible to graphically depict a selected reporting period, a notice to that effect appears.

The performance display can be printed out directly either by using the print icon in the upper right of the display or the text link at the end of the presentation.

PDF printout

Performance can be printed out as a PDF printout either by using the PDF icon in the upper right or the text link at the end of the presentation. Any filters set are taken into account so that the PDF and the display are always identical.
